Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank proposed the establishment for the first time in October 2013. It opened in January 2016. To promote sustainable economic development, create wealth, and improve infrastructure connectivity in Asia through investment in infrastructure and other productive sectors; closely collaborate with other multilateral and bilateral development institutions to advance regional cooperation and partnerships and address development challenges.
